An old part of my CV

I am assistant Professor at the XLIM (UMR 6172 University of Limoges / CNRS -- France) laboratory since 09/2004 and I got a permanent position in 09/2006.
In 2008, I have been elected for 4 years as member of the scientific council of the University of Limoges.

I was member of the DMI department (Département Mathématiques Informatique / Mathematics and Computer Sciences Department -- led by Prof. Moulay Barkatou) of XLIM.
I was also involved in the SeFSI program (Sécurité et Fiabilité des Systèmes d'Information / Security and Safety of Information Systems -- SeFSI is a transverse initiative of XLIM led by Prof. Jean-Pierre Borel).
For the 09/2006-09/2008 period, the University of Limoges and the Limousin Region have decided to fund my research.

I was involved in:

  • the MADNESS (Mobile Ad Hoc Network with Embedded Secure System) project of the emergent "Security of Information" team.
  • SALS (about the security of smart cards -- led by Pierre Dusart) and SRAD (about the security of mobile ad hoc networks -- led by Pierre-François Bonnefoi), two projects of the SeFSI program.
  • the SARAH (Services distribués Asynchrones pour Réseaux Ad Hoc / Delay-Tolerant Distributed Services for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks) project between the LaBRI (Bordeaux, France), LITIS (Le Havre, France), VALORIA (Vannes, France) and XLIM (Limoges, France) laboratories. This project will begin at the end of 2005 and will be funded by the ANR (Agence Nationale pour la Recherche / National Agency for the Research) for 3 years.
  • several projects with the "Distributed Systems and Objects" team of Prof. Serge Chaumette at the LaBRI (UMR CNRS 5800).
  • several projects with the ISG-SCC (Information Security Group - Smart Card Centre) of the Royal Holloway, University of London.

I obtained my Ph.D. at the University Bordeaux 1 (France) in December 2004. The subject of my thesis was on the Java Card security (development of an emulator to experiment attacks against Java Card platform and applets; modeling some security problems).
From 03/09/2001 to 02/09/2004, I worked on the Java Card security in the ITSEF (Information Technology Security Evaluation Facilities) of SERMA Technologies.
From  01/02/2006 to 31/03/2006, I was invited researcher at the ISG-SCC (Information Security Group - Smart Card Centre) of the Royal Holloway, University of London (RHUL). Then, from the 01/04/2006 to 10/08/2006 I was in a postdoctoral position at the ISG-SCC of the RHUL.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES
  • From 09/2004: Assistant Professor in the "Security of Information" team at the University of Limoges (France)
    I am involved in:
    • the MADNESS project
    • in two projects of the XLIM laboratory (available in the transversal SEFSI program -- SÉcurité et Fiabilité des Systèmes d'Information / Security and Safety of Information Systems):
      • the SALS project (about the security of smart cards)
      • the SRAD project (about the security of mobile ad hoc networks)
    • the SARAH project (about Delay-Tolerant Distributed Services for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks) between the LaBRILIH, VALORIA and XLIM laboratories. This project is funded by the ANR (French National Agency for the Research) for 3 years.
I also work with the "Distributed Systems and Objects" team of Professor Serge Chaumette at the LaBRI (Laboratoire Bordelais de Recherche en Informatique) on many topics.
  • 09/2001-08/2004: R&D Engineer at the IT Security Evaluation Facilities of SERMA Technologies (France)
To help SERMA Technologies I have developed some methodologies for the security evaluations of the Java Card products (platforms and applets).  Thus, at the same time I did my Ph.D thesis at the LaBRI, I was involved in several high level security evaluations (EAL4+) in order to develop and to validate the tools in a real industrial context.
